Attorneys who provide tax planning or tax preparation services, may be required by federal law to inform their clients of their policies regarding privacy of client information. Attorneys have been and continue to be bound by professional ethical standards of confidentiality imposed by the State Bar and the laws of California. Our office takes these professional standards seriously and have always protected your right to privacy. Please understand that our office never gives any personal client information to third parties without our client’s permission.
Types of Nonpublic Personal Information We Collect
Our office only collects nonpublic personal information about you that is provided to us by you or obtained by our office with your authorization.
The Firm is committed to the protection of your privacy, and will treat all of the information you provide through the Firm Web site, including your registration information, with the utmost respect. Nevertheless the transmission of information to or from this Website does not create an attorney-client relationship between you and the TaxProAdvocate, nor is it intended to do so. Nor does any communication with us via Internet e-mail through this Website constitute or create an attorney-client relationship between us and any recipients. You SHOULD NOT send confidential information or information that you regard as privileged to TaxProAdvocate. The content of any correspondence you send via the Internet will not be considered confidential unless you have received written confirmation of the formation of an attorney client relationship.
Nonpublic Personal Information. The term “nonpublic personal information” includes any personal information such as your address and social security number, and personally identifiable financial information obtained by our office.

For current and former clients, our office never discloses any nonpublic personal information obtained in the course of our practice except as required or permitted by law or authorized by our client. Permitted disclosures include, for instance, providing information to employees of this office (who also are required to maintain confidentiality within the office), and in limited situations and with your consent, to unrelated third parties such as your accountants, financial advisors, insurance agents, financial institutions and government authorities in connection with your tax returns, who need to know that information to assist our office in providing services to you. In all situations, our office stresses the confidential nature of information being shared and the fact that it is not to be disseminated to unrelated third parties absent your express permission.

Our office retains records relating to professional services that we provide you so that we are better able to assist you with your estate planning, estate administration, and tax planning needs. In order to guard your nonpublic personal information, our office maintains physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with professional ethical standards and federal regulations to guard your nonpublic personal information.
